A symposium on the preservation of old boats will be held at Ægi 220, Strandgata 90, on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 at 16:30.
The subtitle of the symposium is Where should the line be drawn? and refers to various issues relating to this heritage category, such as the legal age limit, what constitutes the boats' fair value, and issues concerning very badly damaged boats.

The symposium is organised by the Garðskagi Museum of Local History, the Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History and the Reykjanesbær Museum of Local History, and is supported by the Museum Fund.
