Friday, 5 December at 6 p.m. will the singer Silva Thordardottir appear at the next Afternoon Tones in Hafnarborg, together with them Thorgrimur Jónsson on double bass and Andrési Þór Gunnlaugssyni on guitar. The programme will feature a mix of Christmas music and well-known jazz standards.

Silva Thordardottir studied jazz singing at the FÍH School of Music and released the standard album Skylark in 2019. Following this, she has sung with many of the country's leading jazz performers, received three nominations for the Icelandic Music Awards for jazz vocals, as well as regularly performing with the vocal ensemble Jazzkonur. Then, Silva & Steini (Steingrímur Teague) released the album More Than You Know in 2022 to unprecedented acclaim, and the song has now been streamed around six million times. Then, last Christmas, their album was released. Christmas with Silva & Steini and More Understanding followed in September of this year.

The concert lasts for about an hour and is free of charge.
