There will be an open house on Tuesday. 10 February from 9:00 to 15:30 at Norðurhellu 2, 221 Hafnarfjörður, where the proposal for an amended detailed plan in the North Town can be viewed.

The Hafnarfjörður Town Council resolved at its meeting on 8 January 2026 to advertise Change to the detailed plan for a residential area in the North Town of Hafnarfjörður, concerning Hjallabraut 45–49C in accordance with section 1 of article 43 of the Planning Act.

The change involves that access to the residential area will be directly from Hjallabraut, while access from the Scout centre's car park will be closed. The number of visitor parking spaces will be increased. Instead of wheelie bins, waste sorting will be managed with bins at each house.
