A. Hansen is making itself at home in Hellisgerði this festive season.
„Participation in the Christmas Village in the heart of Hafnarfjörður is already part of the A. Hansen Christmas tradition,“ says Silbene Dias, operations manager of the A. Hansen restaurant, which will not only be a regular feature in the village but also has a branch in Hellisgerði for this Christmas.

Hansen restaurant, which will not only be a regular feature in the village but also has a branch in Hellisgerði for this Christmas.
„We promise good times and joy and, of course, delicious sweets, crepes and churros in this wonderful park for the people of Hafnarfjörður,“ says Silbene. „Then there are sausages and hot chocolate from a family recipe to warm you up in the cold. It makes everything so Christmassy.“
Silbene describes A. Hansen as a family business. She has run this renowned restaurant in one of Hafnarfjörður's oldest houses for about a decade. She was previously head chef at the Radisson Blu's 1919 restaurant in the city centre and at the Silica Hotel by the Blue Lagoon. „My sister, my cousins and I have taken part in the Christmas Village for 6 years now,“ she says. „Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year; the magic of Christmas is inside each and every one of us.“
Silbene is from Brazil and has lived in the country for two decades. She has just returned from a two-month holiday in her home country. „I'm well-rested and ready for the Christmas rush,“ she says cheerfully.
