A new venture in music school
In the spring, a new orchestra began at the music school; the Hafnarfjörður Music School Symphony Orchestra, which consists of 35 students playing various instruments. Great hopes are pinned on this new venture for the music school.
In the spring, a new orchestra began its journey at the Hafnarfjörður School of Music: the Hafnarfjörður School of Music Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ármann Helgason with the assistance of Laufey Pétursdóttir and Hlín Erlendsdóttir. Great hopes are pinned on this new development in the work of the music school.
The school's symphony orchestra played together for the first time at the middle school's spring concert on Wednesday, 25th May. The orchestra is made up of 35 students playing different instruments, at various stages of their musical development, and all the pieces are arranged so that everyone can take part. The band will also play at the school's leavers' ceremony on Friday, 3rd June at 5 p.m. in Víðistaðakirkja.
