A new leisure website for the City of Hafnarfjörður is under construction and development. The aim of the new website is to improve access to information on the availability of sports and leisure activities in Hafnarfjörður. The content of the website will depend on the active participation and registration of all clubs, businesses and organisations in Hafnarfjörður.

The aim of the new website is to improve access to information on the sports and leisure activities available in Hafnarfjörður. It is hoped that in the future, residents will be able to rely on information about almost all leisure activities and recreational opportunities in the municipality, for all age groups and all year round, being accessible in one single place. The initiative responds to a call from residents, the municipality's young people and the multicultural council for better access to information about what is on offer within the town's boundaries. The content and information on the website will depend on the active participation and registration of all clubs, businesses and organisations in Hafnarfjörður.

The dream is for the website to contain all the key information about courses and leisure activities in the municipality. On the website, it will be possible to filter the sports and leisure activities on offer by age. Numerous clubs in Hafnarfjörður have already been encouraged to register information on the website about everything they have to offer. Website content can be easily translated into languages other than Icelandic.
