New lawyer for the town
Ívar Bragason has been appointed as a lawyer for the City of Hafnarfjörður. Ívar graduated with a Master of Laws degree from the University of Iceland in 2008. He qualified as a district court lawyer in the same year. Ívar has worked at the Office of the City Solicitor for the past few years. He will start work in January.
Ivar Bragason has been appointed as a lawyer for the City of Hafnarfjörður. Ivar graduated with a Master's degree from the University of Iceland in 2008 and was admitted to the bar the same year. In recent years, Ivar has worked as a lawyer for the City of Reykjavík. He obtained his Master of Laws degree from the University of Iceland in 2008 and was admitted to the bar as a district court lawyer the same year. In recent years, Ivar has worked for the Office of the City Solicitor, but was previously with LOGOS Law Firm and the Mörkin Law Firm. Ivar's work as the City Solicitor primarily involved handling cases in the District Court, drafting contracts and providing legal advice, as well as working on matters of competition law and data protection.
Ivar is married to Sigrún Helga Jóhannsdóttir, a lawyer, and together they have two daughters. They live in Hafnarfjörður.
