The Education Committee agreed at its meeting yesterday to establish a working group tasked with assessing the accommodation needs of the nursery and primary schools in Vogar.
The working group will be tasked with formulating proposals for the future organisation of school provision in the area and will submit its recommendations by 1 December 2015. The working group's terms of reference and its appointments will be presented at the next meeting of the Education Committee.
The aim will be to find ways to secure housing and school provision in a rapidly growing neighbourhood for the future. This will be done through active consultation with representatives of stakeholders from the local school community.
