Steps to boost trade in the town centre – and ourselves!

News

A music festival is currently taking place in the heart of Hafnarfjörður. The car park behind the Town Hall & Bæjarbíó will be mostly reserved for the festival. Those of us who work in the town centre can support local businesses by parking further away. Parking can be found within a short walking distance.

Let's move further out and allow customers to use the spaces closest to the town centre.

A music festival is currently taking place in the heart of Hafnarfjörður. Thousands of visitors come to the town every weekend. During the weeks the festival runs, the car park behind the Town Hall & Bæjarbíó will be mostly reserved for the event. Out of respect for the shops, restaurants and other service providers in the town centre, we strongly encourage all staff who work here to park their cars further away, walk to work and contribute to fostering a thriving business community in a thriving town. This encouragement also applies to the car parks on Strandgata and Linnetstíg, all of which are short-stay car parks (30-60 minutes).

Yes, now it's time to take the step towards better health, a better shop and a fantastic service.
