Lots to do with the Worker in the summer of 2022

The Worker is an employment programme for young people with disabilities aged 16-20, located in Húsið, Suðurgata 14. One of Verkið's many projects this summer is to promote the health town of Hafnarfjörður and show it from the perspective of young people in Hafnarfjörður. A special media group within Verkherinn is handling this promotion, and a dedicated Instagram account – @verkherinn – was launched at the start of the summer, where you can follow life at Verkherinn and posts about the whole town of Hafnarfjörður.

The Verkhersins Newsletter

Each week, a new media team is selected from within Verkherinn; this team is solely responsible for the week's newsletter. The aim is to report in words and pictures on the fun projects, activities and events that Verkherinn is involved in during the summer of 2022. These include various jobs, for example in Krambúðin, at the town's nurseries, at Hafnarfjörður Library and at Hafnarfjörður Swimming Pool.

The last week of the workshop this summer

The latest army newsletters were issued in the last three weeks of July and the first two of August. In them, you can see the Corps, among other things, taking part in fun job shadowing and tours, conducting interviews and holding a sports week, as well as looking back on a successful summer programme and the memories that remain.
