New detailed plan for Kaldársel, Kaldárbotnar, Gjarnar and Ásvallabraut
The notice proposes a new detailed plan for Kaldársel, Kaldárbotna and Gjárnar, along with a new detailed plan for Ásvallabraut. The deadline for comments is 18 May 2017.
Proposal for a new local plan for Kaldársel, Kaldárbotnar and Gjárnar
At its meeting on 23 November 2016, the Hafnarfjörður Town Council resolved to advertise a new detailed plan for Kaldársel, Kaldárbotnar and Gjárnar, in accordance with Article 41 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.
The development plan is bounded to the north by the Kaldárhraun and Gjárnar nature reserve, adjoins the Sléttuhlíð development plan, and covers a groundwater protection zone in Kaldárbotnar. The total area is 257 ha. Simultaneously, minor amendments will be made to the boundaries of the Sléttuhlíð and Höfðaskóg – Hvaleyrarvatn local plans. The proposals can be viewed here:

Proposal for a new local plan for Ásvallabraut
At its meeting on 15 February 2017, the Hafnarfjörður Town Council resolved to advertise a new detailed plan for Ásvallabraut, the connection between Völlar and Ásland, in accordance with section 41 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.
The detailed plan shows the location of Ásvallabraut, which runs from Skarðshlíð (formerly Vellir 7) and connects to Kaldárselsveg to the north at Hlíðarþúfur. The boundaries extend beyond the disturbed land due to a path north of the road line and embankments and fillings south of the road line. The proposals, along with the reports and amendments for Sléttuhlíð and Höfðaskóg – Hvaleyrarvatn, will be on public display at the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre, 6 Strandgata, and at the Environmental and Planning Services, 2 Norðurhellu, from 06.04 – 18.05.17. Those who consider themselves to have an interest are given the opportunity to make comments on the proposal, which should be submitted in writing to the Environmental and Planning Services of Hafnarfjörður or to the email address: berglindg@hafnarfjordur.is by 18.05.17. Those who do not make comments on the outline planning application within the specified deadline will be deemed to have no objections to it.
