Actavis discussed in the Town Council this morning

The Town Council met with representatives from Actavis this morning to review the forthcoming changes at the company.
Actavis's operations are an integral part of the diverse employment life of Hafnarfjörður, and the planned reduction in operations is therefore a blow.
The town council urges the management of Actavis to seek every possible way to maintain a strong operation in Hafnarfjörður, and for all options to be considered to replace the projects that have been decided to be moved abroad.
The mayor was also instructed to request a meeting with the Althingi's Committee on Economic Affairs regarding the future development of employment in Hafnarfjörður.
