The slip roads between Reykjanesbraut and Strandgata in Hafnarfjörður will be closed on Thursday, 11th April. The slip roads are being excavated to lay a hot water pipe. Diversion is via the new roundabouts at Hellnahraun, Hvaleyrarhverfi and Vallahverfi.
The slip roads between the Reykjanesbraut and Strandgata in Hafnarfjörður will be closed on Thursday, 11th April. The area is likely to remain closed all day and possibly into Friday morning, 12th April. The slip roads are being excavated to lay a district heating pipe. The new roundabout at Hellnahraun, Hvaleyrarhverfi and Vallahverfi can be used.

The completion of the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut through Hafnarfjörður is now in sight. The project is a joint venture between the Road Administration and the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður. Construction work will begin in the spring of 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in late autumn 2020.
