The three bouncy castles that have been set up in Hafnarfjörður have been very popular this summer. Over the summer, the tubes are open from 9 am to 10 pm every day of the week. From 1st September, the tubes will be open from 9 am to 8 pm every day until it freezes and winter sets in. The tubes are switched off for the winter until spring.

The opening hours for bouncy castles are in line with the outdoor activity hours for children and young people.  

The three bouncy castles that have been set up in Hafnarfjörður have been very popular this summer.  Over the summer, the bags are open from 9 am to 10 pm every day of the week. From 1st September, the bags will be open from 9 am to 8 pm every day until it freezes and winter sets in.  The policy is to keep the bags open for as long as possible, in line with current outdoor regulations. The inflatables are switched off for the winter until spring.

Outdoor activities rules from 1 September – 1 May

  • Children aged 12 and under are not allowed to be out after 8 p.m.
  • Children aged 13 to 16 are not allowed to be out after 10 p.m. 
  • The outdoor rules are in accordance with child protection laws, and children must not be in a public place outside the above-mentioned times unless accompanied by an adult. The rules may be relaxed when children aged 13-16 are on their way home from an authorised school, sports or youth event. Age is based on the year of birth.

Hafnarfjörður Municipality reminds everyone that the bouncy castles are a shared resource for all residents, and it is in everyone's best interest to treat them well. Let's all work together to keep them in good condition so we can ensure plenty of bouncing fun and joy throughout the autumn. We can only do this together!
