„My Town“ is the title of a new photography exhibition that the Folk Museum has set up on Strandstígsgatan. The photographs were taken by the photographer Anna Jónsdóttir in Hafnarfjörður between 1930 and 1962. 

On the promenade along the harbour in Hafnarfjörður is Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History with exhibition facilities for its photography collection. Photographic exhibitions are held there, shedding light on the daily lives and history of the people who built the town.

Most of the photographs were taken at the beginning of Anna's career in Hafnarfjörður, between 1930 and 1940, when the town was growing rapidly. Since then, it has undergone considerable changes. Exhibitions of the Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History 

There are seven exhibitions at the Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History: the Packhouse, the Sívertsen House, the Bookless Bungalow, Siggubær, Beggubúð, Gúttó and on Strandstígur. Admission to all exhibitions is free. See opening hours here
