Five-year-olds have been added to the group of children who receive a leisure grant for their activities here in Hafnarfjörður. The children receive a grant of 28,500 krónur per year. Until now, the municipality of Hafnarfjörður has paid the grant to 6-18 year-olds. Remember the leisure time grant this winter.
Let's make the most of the strength
But how do we use the strength? When parents or guardians electronically register a child for an activity with a sports and leisure club, they can choose to use a leisure grant through Abler at those clubs that have an agreement with the council.. The scholarship is deducted from monthly membership fees. A scholarship from the club cannot be refunded once it has been applied.
The societies can be in or outside Hafnarfjörður. Students studying music can also use the leisure grant.
Sports club did not show up
What do we do if the child's sports club doesn't show up? If a sports club does not appear in the list on My Pages, you can contact customer service by phone. 585 5500 or on hafnarfjordur@hafnarfjordur.is to check whether the company has a contract with the City of Hafnarfjörður.
