Árdís appointed Communications Manager
Árdís holds a Master's degree in Strategy, Management and Leadership from the Aarhus School of Business, a Bachelor's degree in International Marketing from the University of Reykjavík, as well as an international IATA/UFTA certificate from the Icelandic School of Tourism Studies.

Árdís has extensive experience across a diverse range of fields and has, among other roles, worked as a managing director in a growing start-up and as the marketing and promotion manager for the Icelandic Innovation Centre, which supports the advancement of research, scientific and business ideas, as a specialist in the banking sector in the field of service management, as well as having long-term service and sales roles within the tourism industry. In recent months, Árdís has served as the executive director of a steering group for marine innovation in Vestmannaeyjar, a project which involved the establishment and operation of a new degree programme in marine innovation through the University of Reykjavík in collaboration with, among others, the University of Akureyri and the business community in Vestmannaeyjar.
Árdís was born and raised in Myrkárbakki in Hörgárdalur, but has lived in Reykjavík since 1998, and more recently in Hafnarfjörður. Árdís is in a relationship with Agnar Angantýsson and they have three children aged 9-16, Ásdís Laufey, Eva Huld and Arnþór Máni.
