Autumn 2023 Cultural Grants
Eight projects received a grant in the second round of cultural grants from the City of Hafnarfjörður in 2023. The grant ceremony took place at the historic Bungalow building on 10th October. The total amount of grants in this second round was kr. 1,205,000. In total, kr. 15,500,000 has been awarded in grants for cultural affairs this year.

Projects likely to enrich and deepen the town's artistic life
The City of Hafnarfjörður has now completed the allocation of cultural grants for 2023. Eight projects received a grant this time; individuals, cultural groups or organisations, all of which have one thing in common: they are connected to Hafnarfjörður in one way or another. Cultural and Tourism Committee grants from the City of Hafnarfjörður are awarded twice a year to individuals and projects that are likely to further enrich and deepen the city's cultural life. The allocation of grants by the City of Hafnarfjörður is based on an assessment of applications. Cultural events, artists, associations or institutions applying for a grant must be connected to Hafnarfjörður in some way. Examples of this include permanent residency, an event/project taking place in Hafnarfjörður, and/or a project involving the promotion of Hafnarfjörður's cultural activities.

- Gylfi Ingvarsson, The Gaflar Choir, 170,000 kr.
- Hafnarfjörður Chamber Choir, Song for Life and Soul – The Works of Friðrik, 75,000 kr.
- Harpa Gústavsdóttir, Let's Light Up Love, 160,000 kr.
- Heima hjá þér Ltd. Thai cultural festival, 100,000 kr.
- Kristbergur Óðinn Pétursson, The Garden and Time, 100,000 kr.
- Hafnarfjörður Brass Band, Hafnarfjörður Brass Band Concert, Autumn 2023, 150,000 kr.
- Rakel Björk Björnsdóttir, Mæja jarðaber sings with the little ones of Hafnarfjörður, 300,000 kr.
