Hafnarfjörður's best year on the web
The report on traffic on the Hafnarfjörður website for 2023 has been published. Never before have so many people visited the website in a single year, with a total of 650,000 visits.
The main findings from this year's web analysis are:
- The City of Hafnarfjörður website was visited over 650,000 times during the year, a 241% increase on the previous year, making it by far the city's best year online.
- Women continue to be the majority of visitors to the website, slightly increasing their share compared to the previous year. The age distribution remains relatively unchanged.
- As in previous years, search engines (primarily Google) are the main source of visits to the website.
- The most visited pages on the website are: Vacancies, minutes, search, map of the town, rubbish collection, staff, and news and announcements.
- In total, nearly 200,000 news stories were read.
- June was by far the biggest month for event attendance, with 17th June and Hjarta Hafnarfjarðar leading the way.
