Children and the Environment for Young People – a Red Cross course
The 'Children and the Environment' course with the Red Cross in Hafnarfjörður will be held on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 14th of May 2019, subject to sufficient participation. The course is intended for young people born in 2007 or earlier (aged 12 and over). The course will take place at the Red Cross premises in Hafnarfjörður and Garðabær at Strandgata 24, over four (4) evenings.

- Tuesday, 7th May, 17:30-20:00 – Topic: The Red Cross, child development, communication
- Wednesday, 8th May, 17:00-20:00 - Topic: Games, toys, care
- Thursday, 9th May, 17:00–20:00 – Subject: Accident Prevention
- Tuesday, 14th May, 17:30-20:00 – Topic: First Aid
The course covers various aspects of interaction and conduct with children. It discusses effective communication, discipline, care and healthy lifestyles, games and toys. Emphasis is placed on accident prevention and common hazards in the environment, along with first aid instruction. In addition, participants gain an insight into the history and work of the Red Cross.
The course fee is kr. 9,900, and all course materials are included. Please note: bring a healthy and tasty snack for the break. The course will be led by nursery school teachers and nurses. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. REGISTRATION - please enter the child's name and national ID number before proceeding to the Valitor payment page.
Please note: The participation fee is non-refundable if less than three days remain until the course and a medical certificate has not been provided. Once the course has begun, the participation fee is non-refundable.
