Applications for smaller grants must be submitted today! The Bjartir dagar cultural festival will be held from 19th to 23rd April, in connection with the first day of summer, as in previous years. Do you have an idea for a programme item?

Ideas are sought for the programme of Bright Days 2017. It can be something traditional that is already on the programme, or something completely new; something on a grand scale or more modest in size; something for children or something for adults, but in any case, something that encourages local residents to take an active part.

Request for funding for projects

To support initiatives, a portion of the Bright Days budget, up to one million, will be allocated to various smaller projects taking place during Bright Days. Institutions, non-governmental organisations, businesses and individuals can apply for funding for projects taking place from 19-23 April, up to a maximum of 100,000 kr. Requests for financial contributions should be sent to the project manager of Bjartra Dagar at: andriom@hafnarfjordur.is by 8 March and the allocation will be completed by 15 March. Consideration will be given to the allocation. Regulations of the Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfjörður on grants for cultural activities.
