Playing fields at Hamravellir and Hvammur this summer
This summer, playgrounds/play areas will be operated at the nursery school Hvammur at Staðarhvammur 23 and the nursery school Hamravellir at Hvannavellir 1. The playgrounds will be open from 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00, the weeks of 24th-28th July and 31st July-4th August.
The playgrounds are for children aged 2–5 (born 2018-2021). Children need to be dressed for the weather, and it is a good idea to bring a packed lunch.
You can log in to summer.vala.is, and you can choose either a 5 or 10-visit card.
General information for parents
The play area is intended for outdoor play only and cannot serve as a substitute for a nursery. It is therefore recommended that young children are not left there for more than 1.5 hours at a time. There are no facilities for changing children, so they must be able to use the toilet themselves. Children must also be dressed appropriately for the weather. It is advisable for children to bring a water bottle and a light snack.
