Audio Recording Grants 2019

Hafnarfjörður is inviting applications for grants for the treatment of windows on buildings facing busy roads. Cleaning of planting beds along main roads

The City of Hafnarfjörður invites tenders for the cleaning of planting beds along main roads in Hafnarfjörður. The beds total approximately 7,835 m². They are of various shapes and contain varying levels of vegetation. Tenders will be opened at the Environmental and Planning Services on 25 March 2019 at 11:00. Tender documents are available for purchase from the Environmental and Planning Services of Hafnarfjörður, Norðurhæð 2. Price: kr. 2,000.

Dualling the Reykjanesbraut from Kaldárselsvegur to Krýsuvíkurvegur

The Road Administration, in cooperation with the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður and utility companies, recently put out to tender the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut from Kaldárselsvegur west to the Krýsuvíkurvegur junction, and associated works relating to modifications to the utility companies' pipelines. Reykjanesbraut – junction with Fjarðarhraun

Work has begun on alterations and widening of the junction of the Reykjanesbraut and Fjarðarhraun near Kaplakriki in Hafnarfjörður. Work in this area will continue throughout the summer, with completion scheduled for 1 August 2019.  Motorists are asked to exercise caution and obey the traffic signs when driving through the work area. Cultural Grants 2019 – First Allocation

The Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfjörður has now completed the first round of cultural grants for 2019. 22 projects have received a grant on this occasion; individuals, cultural groups and organisations, all of which have the common thread of being connected to Hafnarfjörður.
