Electric vehicle charging station opens at Fjørður on 4 June
At the opening of the station in October 2017, it was announced that charging would initially be free, with the possibility of introducing charges at a later stage. Over the past three years, more than 11,000 cars have used the charging station. Charging will begin on 4 June 2021.

The station is connected to Ísorka's software system.
The station is a fast-charging point for electric vehicles, located at the Fjørð shopping centre. It provides 50 kilowatts of fast charging and 22 kilowatts of slow charging. The station is connected to Ísorka's software system, allowing users to monitor their electricity consumption on www.isorka.is and through the Ísorka app.
