Clothes from home – a good deed

Last week, the Year 1 classes of BB and HSH at Víðistaðaskóli decided to take part in the Scouts' charity week. For this reason, they brought clothes from home and handed them over to the staff of the Red Cross. With this initiative, they wanted to assist and help those in need of clothing. Representatives from the Red Cross expressed their delight with the children's initiative, and the children also learned more about the Red Cross on the occasion.
On the way, we stopped at the Hafnarfjörður Library and read a story about good deeds to mark the occasion of the International Literacy Day, 8 September. The pictures that follow were taken on this occasion.
