Colour-coding system introduced due to Covid-19
The Government has approved a proposal from the Civil Protection Department of the National Commissioner of Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer for a colour-coded COVID-19 alert system, similar to the weather warning system of the Icelandic Meteorological Institute.
The Government has approved a proposal from the Civil Protection Department of the National Commissioner of Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer to COVID-19 alert system which is based on colours similar to the weather warning system of the Icelandic Meteorological Institute.
The alert system is intended to increase long-term predictability regarding the measures that must be taken in the fight against the pandemic, and thus minimise the overall damage it causes to society. The system will be presented at a press conference by the Civil Protection Authority and the Chief Medical Officer today, Monday, 7 December.
