Consultation meetings on the West End's planning work

At a consultation meeting regarding the planning process for the West End of Hafnarfjörður, the concept of a Conservation Area was reviewed, and the archaeological and architectural surveys carried out in the area were presented.

 

At the first of two consultation meetings on the planning process for the West End of Hafnarfjörður, held on 5 March, the concept of a 'Protected Area in an Urban Environment' was reviewed, along with what it entails and how it applies to the West End. The archaeological and architectural surveys carried out in the area were also presented. The slide presentation from the meeting can be downloaded here:

At the second meeting, the initial ideas were to be presented to residents and they were to be given an opportunity to discuss the ideas already on the table. It was decided to postpone the meeting, but a new date has been set. 31 March at 5 p.m., live streamed on the City of Hafnarfjörður's website and Facebook page.
