Magnús Trevenen Davíðsson / “Kids on Holiday”

Magnús Trevenen Davíðsson is a songwriter, guitarist and singer who performs under the stage name “Kids on Holiday”. This summer, Magnús was working on finalising an EP, on which he writes and records all the songs himself. 

Street music all over town

Magnús was a prominent figure in the centre of Hafnarfjörður on 17th June at the Austurgata Festival, where he sang and played for guests and passers-by, and was a hit when he appeared on the evening's programme later that same day. In addition, he has given several hour-long concerts at the Hafnarfjörður Library this summer, to a good reception. 

Release concert at the Youth Centre of the Hammer

Release concerts „Kids on Holiday“were then held on the stage of the Hammer last Wednesday, 10th August. Where he premiered the songs he has been working on all summer for guests and fans, as part of the 2022 Hammer and Hafnarfjörður Creative Summer Jobs project, and the songs will be part of his debut album, which is due to be released this autumn. 

 
Exciting times ahead
The musician is now heading for adventure, as he moves to Germany where he will begin his studies at the prestigious BIMM Institute in Berlin. 

He certainly has a bright future ahead of him and it will be exciting to follow his progress.
