Creative summer jobs

This summer
Individuals and groups aged 18-20 are invited to come up with ideas for a creative project.
projects in Hafnarfjörður. Selected groups will have the opportunity to work for around 8 weeks.
from 1 June to 24 July, undertaking projects and livening up the social life in
the city centre and delight tourists and residents with all sorts of antics.

Key responsibilities and duties

appeal to different age groups and interests.

In addition electronic application  A written application is required. A submission must be made.
Written applications to the Work School, Hrauntunga 5 or to the email address vinnuskoli@hafnarfjordur.is by 15th April.

Must be submitted by
an application containing the following information:

• Excellent
  Description of the project, its scope and objectives
• Time-
  and work plan
• Budget
• Information
  all project stakeholders and one designated project contact

Competency requirements

Applicants must
to have been born between 1996 and 1998 and to be registered as a resident of Hafnarfjörður.

When choosing
Projects will, among other things, take into account feasibility and originality.
of the project, budget, diversity of projects, gender ratio of applicants
and the quality of applications. An agreement will be made on the arrangement of the project with
the relevant applicants who will be selected. It is estimated that around 2-3 groups or up to
10 individuals will get the opportunity to take part in the project this year.

The Recreation Committee and the heads of the Work School sit on the selection committee. The selection committee must finalise its decisions by 1 May.
