13 projects receive cultural grants

2018. Thirteen projects receive a grant this time; individuals,
cultural groups or organisations that all have in common a connection to Hafnarfjörður
in one way or another. Grants from the Cultural and Tourism Committee of the City of Hafnarfjörður
are awarded twice a year to parties and projects that are likely to
to further enrich and deepen the town's cultural life. The formal presentation of the grants will take place
until 27 November, when a grant from the Fridrik's Fund will be received.

Allocation
The City of Hafnarfjörður grant is based on an assessment of applications. Cultural events,
Artists, charities or organisations applying for a grant must be connected to
in Hafnarfjörður in some way. Here, for example, permanent residence is considered to mean that
an event/project takes place in Hafnarfjörður and/or that the project involves
promotion of cultural activities in Hafnarfjörður. The total amount of grants in this allocation
is kr. 2,595,000. In total, kr. 8,000,000 has then been allocated in grants to
Cultural affairs of the year.
