Applications for cultural grants
Grants for projects, events and collaborations.
The Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfjörður is inviting applications for grants for projects, events and partnership agreements in the field of culture and the arts in Hafnarfjörður. Applications must be submitted online by 10 September.
Twice a year, the Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfjörður invites applications for grants for cultural activities and the promotion of cultural life in Hafnarfjörður. The aim is to support cultural activities in accordance with the city's cultural policy and to support individuals and organisations in artistic and cultural creation. Artists, associations, institutions or cultural events must be connected to Hafnarfjörður in some way: through permanent residency, by taking place in Hafnarfjörður, or by involving the promotion of the town's cultural activities. Funding is not provided for travel, study or general running costs.
The application must state the following:
- Objectives, description and justification of the application
- Grant amount
- Time and Work Schedule
- Further funding
- Cost estimate
The Culture and Tourism Committee assesses applications based on the objectives of the projects and how they will be used to promote a diverse cultural life for the benefit of the town's residents and artists from Hafnarfjörður. Consideration is given to the feasibility of the projects, the cost estimate, as well as the timescale and work plan. A partnership agreement can be applied for in respect of longer-term or recurring projects for a period of up to three years.
