Development in junior golf
The new agreement between Hafnarfjörður municipality and GSE places a special emphasis on the development of children's and youth work.
Hafnarfjörður Municipality and the Setberg Golf Club (GSE) have signed an agreement for the operation of the golf course and the club's office. The agreement also places a special emphasis on the development of children's and junior's activities, as the club has run golf courses during the summer in recent years.
Golf club Setberg has over 500 members and celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. The club currently runs the Setberg course, but a residential development is planned for the site in the coming years. The general plan for the City of Hafnarfjörður provides for a golf area at Hamranes, about which the city will inform GSE of any changes and hold discussions with the golf club regarding the area's development.
