Seven development plots available for application in Hamranes
The Municipality of Hafnarfjörður is seeking developers to participate in the ongoing development in Hamranes. This concerns seven development plots for approximately 60 dwellings per plot in the eastern area, south of Hringhamar. The deadline for applications is 8 March 2021.

There are seven development plots for around 60 flats on each plot in the eastern area, south of
Rings prepared for the planning process. It is not possible to apply for specific plots; instead, an application is generally for a development plot in the area.
These are the plots in Hamranes with the identification numbers 26B, 27B, 28B, 29B, 30C, 31C and 32C in the picture.

Applicants must demonstrate financial capacity, an overview of previous work and innovation in their projects. Applicants should also specify any partners. The application form for the development plots can be found at Our pages. The applicant must, in their application, provide a detailed account of their qualifications and experience, and submit information regarding their financial standing. Hafnarfjörður Borough Council reserves the full right to assess whether the applicant meets the eligibility requirements based on the information provided with the application. All information will be treated as confidential.

About Hamranes
Hamranes is a new housing development south of Ásvallabraut, Velli 6 and Skarðshlíð. The area is approximately 25 hectares in size and will be connected to the area from Ásvallabraut which is scheduled to be ready in the autumn of 2021. Planning, road construction and infrastructure development have been in full swing in Hamranes in recent weeks and months, with every effort being made to speed up the development of the neighbourhood to meet the demand and interest for both flats and plots in the area. Road construction has now been completed around the contractor's plots and Bjarg, but further roadworks are expected to be completed this autumn. Development plots in the Hamranesh neighbourhood, with a minimum of 1,022 dwellings, have also been allocated, and plot holders can now proceed with detailed planning for their plots.
