Christmas tree not collected after the Christmas festivities
For your information, the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður would like to draw special attention to the fact that it does not collect Christmas trees from residents after the Christmas period. It is noted that sports clubs and voluntary organisations are now offering a service to collect Christmas trees from residents' doorsteps on a specified day for a fee as part of their fundraising. We encourage interested parties to enquire about this service.
Notice regarding Christmas trees
The City of Hafnarfjörður would like to draw attention to the fact that it does not collect Christmas trees from residents after the Christmas period. This decision was made on 21 September 2016, and Christmas trees have not been collected from homes since then.
It is noted that sports clubs and charities are now offering a service to deliver Christmas trees to your door on a specified day for a fee, as part of their fundraising. We encourage interested parties to look into this service.
