Electoral register
The electoral register for the parliamentary election in Hafnarfjörður on 25 September 2021 is available for inspection at the service desk in the Hafnarfjörður Town Hall, Strandgata 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all weekdays from 15 September 2021 until Friday, 24 September. Voters are referred to the website www.kosning.is but there you can find information about where voters are on electoral roll. Voters are encouraged to check that their names are on the electoral register. The register is based on the position of the register on 21 August. Any comments regarding the register should be addressed to the Hafnarfjörður Town Council.
Polling stations – where do you vote?
The polling stations in Hafnarfjörður are School of Medicine, 4 Sólvangsvegur and Vidistaðaskóli, Hrauntunga 7 . Access to Víðistaðaskóli is also from Hraunbrún. Polling stations open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. on Saturday, 25 September. Voters must present identity documents at the polling station. There are 20,463 on the electoral register in Hafnarfjörður.

Hafnarfjörður Returning Officer

Absentee voting
From 23 August, early voting in the capital region will take place exclusively on the first floor of Smáralind, near the entrance in the north-east section on the first floor, and on the third floor of Kringlan, in the cinema corridor. These are open every day of the week from 10 am to 10 pm. On polling day, only the location in Smáralind will be open, from 10 am to 5 pm, for voters who are registered outside the capital region.
