A reminder that the deadline for nominations for the local council elections in Hafnarfjörður, to be held on Saturday, 16 May 2026, is 12:00 on Friday, 10 April.
The Returning Officer will be based in the meeting room of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council, Strandgata 6, 2nd floor, from 10:00 to 12:00, and will receive nomination lists.
A notice of candidacy can also be submitted electronically before the above-mentioned deadline to the email address yfirkjorstjorn@hafnarfjordur.is
The Returning Officer will hold a meeting at the same place on Saturday, 11th April at 12:00 to adjudicate on nominations and list symbols. in the presence of representatives of the electoral lists.
