It is a preventative project supported by the Health Boroughs. Choose is education specially designed to empower young people. The emphasis is on building a positive self-image and guiding them to avoid risky behaviour. Experienced nurses from Health Solutions educate our young people. The nurses have been delivering such education for years, and have previously visited schools in Hafnarfjörður with a good reputation.
Parents are given information and are encouraged to take part.
Parents and guardians will also be offered education aimed at supporting them in having the conversation with their teenagers at home. Parents are encouraged to take an active part when the opportunity arises. The Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður organises and supports various events related to exercise and health in Hafnarfjörður.
