We are going to celebrate Iceland's National Day on 17th June with a flag-making workshop and waffles at our centre in Hope Harbour – Hafnarfjarðarkirkja (entrance from Suðurgata).

Please pop in for a coffee and waffles. There will be materials for the children to make their own flags.

Get Together is run by GETU – a charity that supports asylum seekers and refugees residing in Hafnarfjörður and the surrounding area. The organisation is staffed by volunteers in collaboration with Hafnarfjarðarkirkja and the Hafnarborg Cultural Centre. Get Together provides support to all refugees and asylum seekers, regardless of faith or nationality. Through regular get-togethers and events, it aims to break down the social isolation of refugees and promote a positive multicultural society.
