Implementation and arrangements for the rollout in Hafnarfjörður
In mid-May, the implementation of a new waste sorting system began in Hafnarfjörður, as in the entire capital region, where four waste streams will henceforth be collected from every household in the town in accordance with the law. The new sorting system represents a very significant step forward for the municipalities' environmental efforts.
Questions will be answered at a press conference on 14 June at 17:00.
Naturally, various questions arise when implementing such a large-scale project. On Wednesday, 14 June at 17:00, the project managers for the implementation and the council's representatives on the Environment and Operations Committee will give a brief presentation and discussion to review the implementation's progress and arrangements in Hafnarfjörður, and answer residents' questions. The meeting will be held at the Environmental and Planning Department, Norðurhellu 2, in Hafnarfjörður.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting.
