Wednesday, 19th April at 2 p.m. We welcome guests to the next event Perspectives, educational sessions for older people, at Hafnarborg. Then a museum specialist will talk about the exhibition. Invisible worlds, which focuses on digital art, photography, animation, realism and hyperreality.

The exhibition features works by six Icelandic and international contemporary artists who tackle ideas of reality and virtuality. Their works present ideas of disconnection, anxiety and the wry humour that characterises the generation now living and moving in a new media environment. Utilising digital means of expression, they highlight, among other things, the satire inherent in the stressful lifestyle of the 21st century.

Perspective is a programme that began at Hafnarborg in spring 2022. The museum focuses on giving everyone the opportunity to experience culture and the arts, and offers guided tours for all age groups. The aim is to provide an insight into the activities of Hafnarborg, current exhibitions or unique works from the collection through monthly events during the winter season. Coffee and refreshments are offered after the programme.

Free admission – see you at Hafnarborg.
