Saturday, 28th November at 3 p.m. will Iryna Kamienieva, artist and curator, will be with guidance in Ukrainian About the exhibition A landscape for the chosen, which is currently on display at the museum. The tour is open to all interested parties over the age of 13; no knowledge or background in art is required.
The exhibition features works by ten Icelandic and international artists, exploring different aspects of escapism: What state are we fleeing from today? Is the escape good or bad? What is the landscape of escapism? And who has access to it? The exhibition features works created in a variety of media, such as paintings, prints, sculptures and video.
Iryna Kamienieva is an artist and curator from Ukraine. She has been based in Iceland since 2022, where she has worked in both the art scene and in refugee reception.
In My Language is a programme of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETU – a charity/Get Together that supports refugees and asylum seekers in Hafnarfjörður and the surrounding area. The project is supported by the museum fund.

The tour is open to all interested parties aged 13 and over; no prior education or experience in the arts is required.
The exhibition includes works by ten Icelandic and international artists whose pieces reflect on the theme of escapism: What situations are we escaping from today? Is escapism a positive or negative phenomenon? What does the contemporary landscape of escapism look like? And who has access to it? The exhibition brings together works in various media, such as painting, printmaking, sculpture and video.

«In my language» – This is a series of events, focused on making Hapnarborg more accessible to people of diverse backgrounds by holding events in different languages. This is a collaboration between Hapnarborg and Can – aid organisations/Get Together «Ob'єднуйmós» provides support to asylum seekers and refugees in the town of Hapnarfjörður and its surrounding area. The programme is funded by the Museum's fund.
