Being // Gudny Magnúsdóttir
In my work, I explore the body as a living record of memories, experiences and transformations. I approach them from my own experience…
Saturday, 19 September, 3-5 pm We celebrate the publication of the book Aurora Borealis: Frosty Fjalar at Hafnarborg. The book is published in connection with the eponymous exhibition and features a selection of works by Frost Fjalarr, along with photographs and texts that shed light on his art and career. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the exhibition and familiarise themselves with the book.
In Frost's works, geometric forms, vertical and horizontal lines, planes of colour and texture come together to build the unique visual world of this interesting artist. The works are a testament to a decades-long exploration of form, colour and material that characterised his art.
The publishers of the book are Ásdís Spanó and Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir. The texts are by Ásdís Spanó, Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir and Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson, and the photographs are by Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir. The book was designed and laid out by Helga Gerður Magnúsdóttir. The publication of the book is supported by the Art Foundation and Hafnarborg.
The book will be sold at a special introductory price for the occasion.
