Hafnarfjörður Library opens its doors on Museum Night!
What is a collection? What is a library? Is it just some kind of space, a storage facility, dusty and grey? What purpose do such places serve in our digital age?
We are so much more than storage.
We start at 18:00 – when Rakel Björk will be holding a children's concert, singing and entertaining the youngest generation and will be with us for a while. Rakel Björk is a recipient of a cultural grant from the City of Hafnarfjörður and works on musical events for nursery school children.
At 19:30, a workshop on magical symbols for adults begins, led by the artist Otilia Martin. It is open to all and everything is provided on-site.
All evening we'll be playing with our gadgets: virtual reality, T-shirt printing (bring a T-shirt and we'll put a logo on it!), a badge maker, 3D printing and a drone, – and so much more! Open for musical instruments, reading and entertainment!
