The time has come! Museum Night will be held on Friday evening, 3rd February, so be sure to come along.
The programme begins at 17:00 with a shadow puppet show, where the story 'The Tindatarnar' will be told by members of the Comedy Theatre.
At 18:45, the face-painters and the ever-popular Bladderman will be there, and we'll be having fun into the evening! Intrix will be there with a GIANT Tetris! So, why not get a team together to see who's the best at video games for proper trolls!
We are also opening the exhibition Noises From Iceland, which features musical works, video works and photographs by the artists Kaśka Paluch-Łukasiak and Magdalena Lukasiak. The exhibition is split in two; on the one hand, video works in the multi-purpose hall, and on the other, a photography exhibition with sound works on the third floor. The exhibition is accessible to all, and a tactile interpretation of Braille is available.
At 20:30 on the 2nd. on the 2nd floor, Krimmar at Candlelight, a romantic and (un)pleasant literary event where Arndís Þórarinsdóttir leads a conversation with crime legends Ragnheiður Gestsdóttir and Jónína Leósdóttir, along with the newcomer of the year in crime fiction, Skúli Sigurðsson.
There will be a discussion of the darker sides of literature, though the shadows are of varying shades, and many facets of this broad and beloved genre that Icelanders adore will be explored. We will also have a few crime cases for guests to solve, refreshments, and of course, a saxophone – is it even a crime novel if there's no saxophone?
We look forward to seeing you!
