Artist Ágúst B. Eiðsson, b. 14.03.1968

Ágúst graduated from the painting department of the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 1996. He has held several solo and group exhibitions; this is his fourth exhibition at the Litla Gallerý. He has also exhibited at the Safnahúsinu in Sauðárkrókur, Villa Nova, Hotel Varmahlíð, and with the art association Solón, which was based in the Gúttó House in Sauðárkrókur.

This exhibition features abstract watercolour works he has been creating over the last two years. The vibrant and colourful pieces create a flow of form and sharpness as the colours are layered one upon another, allowing the decisive and powerful brushstrokes to shine through.

There will be a special exhibition opening on Thursday, 5th March from 18:00-21:00 and you are welcome!

He has also exhibited at the Museum House in Sauðárkrókur, Villa Nova, Hotel Varmahlíð and with the Solón art association, which was located in the Gúttó house in Sauðárkrókur.

This exhibition features abstract watercolour paintings that he has been working on for the last two years. Lively and colourful images that create a flow of form and sharpness between the overlapping colours, generating a flow that specific and powerful brushstrokes enjoy.
