Tuesday 2. April 12 o'clock We welcome you to the next lunchtime concert of the year at Hafnarborg, where... Áslaug Ingvarsdóttir, baritone, guest Antonia Hevesi, pianist and artistic director of the concert series.

Áslaug Ingvarsdóttir, baritone, graduated with a BA in singing from the Music Department of the Iceland Academy of the Arts in the spring of 2021 and completed postgraduate studies at the singing department of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, Belgium, in the autumn of 2022. He recently sang the roles of Marcello and Leporello in La Musica Lirica's productions of The Bohemian Life and Don Giovanni in Italy. In Iceland, he has appeared in the role of Dr. Malatesta in a production by the Óðinn Theatre Group on Don Pasquale, in the role of Ben in the opera The phone which was performed at Opera Days in 2022 and 2023 and finally as the father in the opera Hans and Gretel in the Chamber Opera's production. He is currently performing the role of the Count in the opera. Postman John in the setup of Ode.

Antonia Hevesi, a pianist, has been the artistic director of the lunchtime concerts at Hafnarborg since their inception, and they have been a regular feature of the museum's programme since 2003. There, Antonía has been joined by many of the country's leading singers, with the aim of the concerts being to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy live music at their leisure. The lunchtime concerts are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month during the winter season.

The concert starts at 12 noon and will last for about half an hour. The venue opens at 11:30 am and the concert is open to all, subject to capacity. Admission is free.
