The annual dorg fishing competition of the summer courses at Flensburg Quay

On Thursday, 13th June, the annual angling competition is scheduled to be held at Flensborg Pier for children from six to twelve years of age in Hafnarfjörður. The competition starts at around 13:30 and the children will fish until 14:30. There will be competition in three categories – most fish caught, the biggest fish, and the weirdest fish of 2024. The competition will be rescheduled to another day in case of bad weather. Tackle and bait will be available on site. Staff from the City of Hafnarfjörður will be responsible for onshore supervision, while the sailing club Þytur will provide supervision from the sea. Children aged six to twelve are encouraged to take part.

Fishing competition at the harbour in Hafnarfjörður. On 13 June, a fishing competition for children aged 6–12 will take place at Flensborgarhöfn harbour in Hafnarfjörður. The competition will run from 13:30 to 14:30.
The competition will take place in 3 categories: most fish caught (flestu fiskarnir), biggest fish (stærsti fiskurinn), and most surprising fish of 2024 (furðufiskur 2024). If the weather is poor, the competition may be postponed to another day. The City of Hafnarfjörður will secure the land-based area, while the sailing club Þytur will handle safety on the water.
