Christmas was seen off with dance and song at Thorsplan!

Together, we will see out the Christmas season and the year 2024 with dance and song on the stage at Thorsplan, in the heart of Hafnarfjörður! This is where the Christmas festivities in Hafnarfjörður begin each year. Árni Beinteinn and Sylvía from the programme 'Bestu lög barnanna' will take to the stage at Thorsplani, get the party started, sing carefully selected songs and perform a selection of the very best. Young artists will join them to help build the atmosphere. This year, the festival takes place in the Christmas Village at Thorsplan, and the festivities begin promptly at 5 p.m. The event concludes at approximately 5:45 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks display, hosted by the Hafnarfjörður Rescue Squad, in front of the Fjörður shopping centre.

Attention dog owners and other pet owners

Please be advised that the firework display will begin at 17:45 and will last for approximately 5 minutes. Dog owners are encouraged to give their dogs extra cuddles during this short time and perhaps keep them at home while the display is taking place.
