Sunday, 1 March at 8 p.m. will the composers Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir and Peter Eggertsson premiere a new work which they have composed specifically as an intervention in the ongoing exhibition by the visual artist Una Björg Magnúsdóttir, Filling, in the main hall of Hafnarborg, the cultural and art centre of Hafnarfjörður, and the concert is also the finale of the exhibition. Lilja and Pétur will travel between locations within Una Björg's exhibition, where their sheet music and instruments will be transformed into sculptures. The event is part of Hafnarborg's concert series, Hljóðönum.

Tickets are sold on Tickets and at Hafnarborg. General admission is 2,900 krónur, and the price for senior citizens and students is 1,900 krónur. The venue opens at 19:30.

Soundtrack, Hafnarborg's concert series, is particularly dedicated to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, where the unique imagination and artistic struggle of composers lead audiences into previously uncharted territory. The concert series has been part of the Hafnarborg programme since 2013.

Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir, a composer, graduated with a B.Mus. in piano performance in the spring of 2016 from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and a Master's degree in composition from City, University of London in 2018. Last year, she completed her doctoral studies in composition at the same university. Lilja María often works with sound sculptures alongside instruments in her works. In the summer of 2016, she received a grant from the Student Innovation Fund to develop the sound and light sculpture Hidden under the supervision of Berglind María Tómasdóttir and Jón Marínós Jónsson, a violin maker. The project was one of five nominated for the President of Iceland's Innovation Award. In 2022, the album was then released. Internal Human which is a collaborative project by Lilja Maríu and the dancer Inês Zinho Pinheiro. The project was nominated for the Kraumsverðlaunin and chosen as „Experiment of the Year“ by The Morning newspaper. Lilja María is also part of the art collective Hlökk, along with Ingibjörg Ýr Skarphéðinsdóttir and Ragnheiður Erla Björnsdóttir. Their first album, Hidden sound, won the Kraumsverðlaunin 2019 and was also nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards for Album of the Year in the open category.

Peter Eggertsson, a composer, graduated with a BA in Composition from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2018, and an MA from Mills College in Oakland, California, in 2020. Upon graduation, he received the Margaret Lyon Award for excellence in music studies. Pétur works through visual arts and performance, and the transformation of sound through arbitrary translations into different media is a focus in his work, in which the roles of both performers and audiences are explored and expanded. Through his music, Pétur raises questions about the culture surrounding musical performance, seeking an ideological connection between music and society. Pétur also releases electronic music under the name Hjalti Kaftu, plays drums with the band Skelkur í bringu, and is one half of the techno duo GEIGEN with Gígja Jónsdóttir. Together, they won the Gríma Award for Music of the Year in 2023 for their show. Violin spirit The show received a total of five nominations for the 2023 Grímma Awards, winning three of them.
