Saturday, 29th March at 2 p.m. We welcome you to an artist's talk with them. Anna Hrund Másdóttir and Birgi Snæbirni Birgisson who have both works in the exhibition Pause. There they will, among other things, discuss their own artistic creations and their works in the context of the exhibition. Birgir Snæbjörn is one of the exhibition's curators, and the exhibition is being organised in collaboration with Mika Hannula.

The exhibition Pause focuses on art as a process and its ability to connect with the viewer and its environment. It also raises questions about what happens when we are faced with works that require us to participate, be influenced, and dwell in the moment. Works that, in their sincerity and intimacy, take risks and challenge us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the experience.

Anna Hrund Másdóttir works with found objects and materials that reveal a new and ephemeral lightness of being when taken out of their original context. Birgir Snæbjörn Birgisson transforms personal and symbolic objects into multi-layered works, where he works with the manifestation of the replica on the borders of presence and absence. Although using different techniques, they share a commonality in working with materials that hold remnants of the past, thus prompting the viewer to reflect on memory, transformation, and the ever-changing nature of meaning.

The book is published alongside the exhibition. Lingering, with articles by Mika Hannula. The editor is Birgir Snæbjörn Birgisson and the book's design was handled by Sigrún Sigvaldadóttir. The publisher is Hunang and the publication is supported by Myndstef and Hafnarborg.

Free admission – see you at Hafnarborg.
